Vocational Service

Vocational Service

Vocational Service in Rotary focuses on promoting high ethical standards in business and professions, recognizing the value of all occupations, and using professional skills to serve society. At the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker (CCVRC), our Vocational Service initiatives aim to support local businesses, mentor young professionals, and provide career development opportunities. Through these efforts, we strive to enhance the community's economic and social well-being, demonstrating Rotary's commitment to integrity, excellence, and service above self.

Peaceful Schools

Our club joins forces with our local Interact Clubs to work with elementary students to understand the negative outcomes of bullying and offers encouragement to students to support and accept one another.  We offer an "elementary" version of our 4 way test to remind them to be respectful and fair to their fellow students. Middle Schools and High Schools benefit as well with different 4 way test scenarios more attuned to each age group.

Equipment

Our club works with local area organizations to provide funding for equipment critical to their organization's success.  One example includes a lift to help disabled children onto horses for equine therapy lessons in our community.

Administering the Rotary 4-Way Test
The Rotary 4-Way Test is a guiding principle for Rotarians, emphasizing ethical conduct and integrity in personal and professional relationships. It consists of four questions: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? By applying these questions to everything they think, say, and do, Rotarians strive to foster trust, fairness, goodwill, and mutual benefit, ensuring their actions positively impact their communities and the world.
