On January 22nd 2025 at our scheduled meeting we had several inspiring speakers! Our club presented Caleb Kelsey, local senior at Legend high school, a trophy and $100 gift for for student of the month. Caleb is very involved in the Criminal Justice System Club at Legend. High goal is to ensure students are aware of the law and how it might affect each of them.
CEC Interact Club- President Jacey Cohen- gave a wonderful presentation on her trip to Croatia through the Global Leadership Conference Scholarship. Jacey also spoke about how emotional it was to receive hand written letters from her parents at the end of the conference. Jacey will be attending Pikes Peak State College to continue her advance studies in ALS.
Robert Mintz- is an inspirational speaker with vast experience working for years with Rotary International. He is currently a member of the morning Cherry Creek Club that meets in Cherry Creek. Robert has worked with the Rotary Exchange Program as well as International Relations throughout his career. He has hosted 3 exchange students himself as well as helping others with funding and logistics for this program.
Club President Daniel Brennan presented Walter Borfitz with the Paul Harris Award for his donation to Rotary International.

Youth Service- Student of the Month Award- Trophy and $100 gift presented to Caleb Kelsey, senior at Legend High School. Caleb is very involved in the Criminal Justice System Club at Legend. High goal is to ensure students are aware of the law and how it might affect each of them. He is looking forward to graduating and becoming a personal trainer. He is also active in the CECOR food drive, Zoology Club, and his church. His motto is to accept criticism and move forward growing each day. Congratulations!

She is an amazing example of youth leadership and has been involved in community work throughout her school and personal life. She learned at the conference how to communicate with people using multiple leadership styles. Her values in leadership include listening, not judging, collaboration, and friendship. Jacey also spoke about how emotional it was to receive hand written letters from her parents at the end of the conference. Jacey will be attending Pikes Peak State College to continue her advance studies in ALS (Amyotrophic to bridge the hearing and deaf communities.

He is currently a member of the morning Cherry Creek Club that meets in Cherry Creek. Robert has worked with the Rotary Exchange Program as well as International Relations throughout his career. He has hosted 3 exchange students himself as well as helping others with funding and logistics for this program. There is an upcoming opportunity for anyone who is the right fit and are focused in the Legend high school district that would like to help participate in this 10 month program with an exchange student. Dan Brennan presented Walter Borfitz with the Paul Harris Award for his large donation to Rotary International. He received his third red stone. His words were "Its not what you earn, its what you do..." Congratulations to a great Rotarian!
