On Wednesday, May 14th, the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker was pleased to present 
“Officer of the Year” Awards to 5 Law Enforcement Officers from the area.  The award ceremony was held at
the Parker Police Department Headquarters.
 
Parker Police Department Commander Andy Coleman presented the award to
Sergeant Troy Brienzo who was honored for fostering unity, strength in leadership and inspiring action.
 
 
Colorado State Patrol Captain Mike Carr presented to Trooper Natalie Root who has been active in community engagement, 
women’s resource group, recruiting females and minorities and just started as a Field Training Officer.
 
Sheriff Darren Weekly presented to Sergeant Jeff Burke (not pictured), Deputy Austin Genthe and 
Deputy Hondray Simmons who were all very involved in investigating a seven year old abduction of a 
little boy who is now safely home with his family!
 
Finally, many thanks to Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker President, Dan Brennan 
and member Ralph Martin, retired Colorado State Patrol, who has been instrumental in 
honoring law enforcement officers for the past 12 years!!!
