International service is a significant part of Rotary International's belief that fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, improving the health of mothers and children, supporting basic education and literacy, growing local communities through economic development, and promoting sustainable environmental projects. The Guatemala Literacy Project
The GLP is one of the largest grassroots, multi-club, and multi-district projects in Rotary. Our club is one of over 800 clubs that have been working together since 1997 to improve education for underserved students in Guatemala. This project has supported more than 312,000 students through four sustainable educational programs. 
 
Preparing Native American Indian Youth for Success
The Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club joined clubs worldwide in sponsoring a grant program that will positively impact Native American communities. This grant empowers Native American high school students by providing a three-year technology training and mentoring program. The goal of the program is to offer students the equivalent of a college degree that will enable them to obtain a job in the tech sector, which could result in a profound economic impact for students and their communities.
 
Shelter Box  

Rotary partners with ShelterBox to help devastated communities. These boxes include family-size tents, though the contents differ depending on the disaster and climate. Many are packed with solar lights, water storage and purification equipment, thermal blankets, and cooking utensils. Depending on need, the organization may deliver ShelterKits, smaller aid packages that include tools, ropes, and heavy tarpaulins used to provide emergency shelter and repair damaged structures.
